Press / Reviews
“At its quietest, the music seems perfect for listening to alone, drinking whiskey at a sparsely populated bar somewhere where it’s still legal to smoke cigars indoors. At its loudest, the Xcel Energy Center couldn’t hold it.” - Patrick Maloney
— MN Daily
“Joni met Ricky Lee for a walk on the Wild Side. Hannah is pure original artistry – excellent technical execution, subtly wrapped in silk, cashmere and gauze, with enough leather to keep things interesting. A Minneapolis singer-songwriter, her original compositions are passionate and evocative, and her guitar work is crisp, articulate, and more than interesting.” ” - Steve Peterson

In Jan 2018, her trio featuring Aaron Silverstein (drummer) and Andrew McManimon (bass) recorded 14 original songs live to analog tape at Brown Bag Studios in her hometown of Minneapolis, MN; after a test drive with her first single ‘Time Machine’, she knew she’d found the right place to capture her debut album with owner/engineer Tony Schreiner (Malamanya, LandLine). After a year and a half of piece-mailing the subsequent stages of auxiliary tracking and mixing, made possible by crowdfunding and server wages, she's proudly curated 9 songs for her debut as Holy Hannah!™, mastered by award-winning Tom Garneau of Audioactive.
